Kenneth R. Satterlee started his commercial real estate career in 1977 with Coldwell Banker brokerage services, CBRE now. In 1980, he moved to Burnham Real Estate, now Cushman & Wakefield, where he became a significant owner of the company while building a highly successful brokerage practice. After having two decades’ experience with Burnham, he sold his interest in the firm and focused his full attention on his San Diego based development and investment firm, St. Croix Capital Corporation, which he founded in 1982.
Ken had a strong belief in carrying San Diego’s experience to Austin. Noting the myriad of parallels, but about a 20-year lag between the markets, Ken sought to apply the lessons and growth patterns witnessed in San Diego to the Austin market – starting by purchasing property in Austin in 2004. He found that his theory was holding true and sought to empower others here in Austin by building a boutique brokerage firm called St. Croix Capital Advisors, a sister company to St. Croix Capital Corporation. He had two more seasoned real estate professionals joined to form St. Croix Capital Advisors in the summer of 2012. They all worked together previously, and knew they had a very special combination of talent, drive, experience and shared values.
St. Croix has been operating since 1982 and has grown as a company with its unique family culture. St. Croix’s core values are shaped by a foundation of honesty, integrity, excellence and respect. We offer services for investment sales, asset, property and construction management as a fully integrated real estate company. Our professionals provide the focus, diligence and tenacity our clients deserve to achieve their goals and objectives.
